I have just joined and on reading some of the reciepes wondered if they were American as I have never heard of a lot of the ingredients!!! Has anyone had any trouble buying these ‘odd’ items in UK supermarkets?
Hi, ThunderThighs, and welcome. Actually, the ingredients are from all over the world, and available in the UK. They are available at health-oriented shops such as Whole Foods Market, and online through http://www.goodnessdirect.co.uk and http://www.amazon.co.uk, among others (see this guide here: http://www.trimdownclub.com/where-to-buy-uk). The foods are less well-known because they are less mass-produced, which is their advantage – they are less manipulated, so they are more nutritious and supportive of healthy weight management.
