I’ve read about half of the recipes in the Trim Down Cookbook and am wondering if dairy products that are not raw can be used instead.
Also, I’m a well-controlled diabetic and I love oat meal. However, I’m reluctant to eat it because it always spikes my glucose levels. I usually use a little skim milk and some cinnamon on it. I’ve about decided it’s a food I may have to give up. Any suggestions?
Thanks. I’m just getting started with this plan.
Yes, you can definitely use regular dairy, though organic fortified is highly recommended. The hormones used in most large-scale conventional dairy farms can contribute to weight gain, as well as a host of other health problems.
If you like oatmeal but it spikes your sugars, try oat bran cereal instead, or half/half.
Thanks for the information, Ossie.
I appreciate it.
I’ll see if there’s raw milk or cheese source somewhere within a reasonable distance and use it if/when I can and I’ll also try the other cereal.
