aneetaMemberI am new to this site. Just joined a couple of weeks ago but haven’t started yet. I am looking at the recipes in the downloadable cookbook. Most of the recipes have no information about carbs, sugars, etc. How do I know how to count them in my meals if I don’t know that information. They look delicious! Thanks!

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, aneeta, and welcome. The recipes on the website (see the “Recipes” link above) generally have exchange information. These exchanges are based on those of the American Diabetic Association (you can also see them here: http://www.trimdownclub.com/exchanges-lists).

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, AmandaLynn. See how you do without it, and if you find yourself very hungry (even overdoing it) later in the day or getting stuck loss-wise, you can repost here, and we’ll troubleshoot together.

IslaooMemberI have added a few recipes myself and was wondering how long it takes before they are available?

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Islaoo, and thanks. Contributed recipes are generally screened – and if selected, posted – within about a week. If you do not see yours, please do repost, and I’ll get back to you.

Willow95MemberHi everyone. I am just setting up a menu for the first time. When I try to swap out the breakfast for 1 serving of “Poached eggs, spinach and mushroom” from the recipe section, it tells me I have gone over my protein nutritional allowance. Even if I change my goal to “maintenance” it does the same thing. The intro to the recipe section says “All the Trim Down recipes are approved by our dieticians to determine maximum fat burning capacity.” Should I just ignore the fact that I have 1 too many proteins at breakfast? Or should I subtract a protein later in the day? Thank you.

bd2486MemberHow does one incorporate a recipe into their meal plan? If it’s listing under say Breakfast – does it take place of the breakfast in the meal plan? Thanks

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Willow. Just subtract a protein later in the day.

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, bd2486. Just find a recipe in the Menu Planner list that is similar to what you want, and select it as a place saver. When it comes time to prepare the meal, just make the swap then.
