MemberI just joined but am a little skeptical regarding some of the menu items. Ice cream and pizza?? Really? For the pizza serving, its only 4 oz but if I order a pizza am I really going to stop after a small slice?
And I have a question re: cashews…Are you talking about roasted salted cashews or all natural? I haven’t seen those in store. Natural walnuts are easy to find.

MemberHi, Raeka. We include some foods that are not considered perfect in terms of health to enable people to have treats once in a while (since this is intended to be a long-term lifestyle rather than temporary diet). The portions are in small units to enable them to be fit into meals – it doesn’t mean that small amount is all you can have for one of your main meals. If you get a “veggie” pizza, you can have twice the amount you noted (up to 8 oz). If you want to have more (and are not a diabetic), you can also make adjustments to the rest of your day, i.e. have 12 ounces if you have it instead of a meal and a snack.
Regarding cashews, if you’re not sensitive to salt, you can have whatever you want – the amounts aren’t generally large enough in the menus to make a big difference if you have normal kidney function. - AuthorPosts
