I am trying to cut down on salt consumption and have switched to sea salt. I cannot find any that is iodized. Is that okay?
Hi, Catmarie. If you get iodine from another source (fish, seaweed, etc.), then that’s fine.
If it is true sea salt, it should have iodine in it naturally, along with many other minerals. Do be cautious when buying such a product, as there are a lot of “empty” ones that are just table salt with a fancy label that doesn’t say much.
