HEATHER1087MemberHello,
I am still new to the site and am finding it a little difficult, for example to find items like “Exchange Lists.” I stumbled upon this very useful page by pure chance. Is it possible to have a site menue so one can obtain links to topics etc, or maybe just have a general “Search” box on the home page?
How about links for “Where to buy-USA?”
Another useful component would be to have list of suitable alternatives or substitutes for British ingredients like Quorn. Thanks

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Heather. The following is the guide for shopping – it is global, but the US is listed near the bottom: http://www.trimdownclub.com/shopping-links-for-healthy-foods. We are indeed working on a search function.
As for Quorn, it is actually available in the US. If you’re having trouble finding it, a substitute would be seitan (wheat gluten). Do you have questions about other items?March 19, 2015 at 3:12 am #27940
HEATHER1087MemberThanks SO MUCH Sharon,
Let me see how this goes. So how do we find links like this on the site?
I was actually wondering if each individual has some sort of guide as to how many daily portions of Carbs, Proteins, fruits and veg one should aim for? If we had this guide then it would be easy to see if one was over or not. For example this evening I made a salad dressing of a teaspoon of olive oil, lemon juice and a teaspoon of Blackberry honey. How do I account for this addition to my daily allocation?
Sorry to be a pain.
I know you have hundreds of mails to respond to.Regards
Heather
