MemberI would like to have a smoothie for my breakfast, this includes 3 x fruits and 2 x vegetables with skimmed milk. Can anyone guide to as to how this fits in with the menu planner as the snacks also include more fruits

MemberHi, Carol. If you click on “Exchange mode” in the toolbar above your finished menu, you can the portions from various food groups that are allotted to you. The exchanges relate to this list – http://www.trimdownclub.com/exchanges-lists. Note that because carbohydrate and fruit exchanges are quite similar, you can use fruits for all of them in the morning, and each 2 vegetable servings would equal a starch or fruit. Milk is mostly a protein, but also has some sugar (note that if you use skimmed milk, it is best to get the “bluish” type, without added milk solids – fortification with vitamins is fine, of course). In your personal case, each “x” would be about a cup (240 ml).
