I’m trying really hard to stick to a balance of vegetables versus fruits. I got a ninja blender to make smoothies but I’m having a hard time coming up with recipes that aren’t gritty or sour. How do I know if the items I’ve chosen are a good balance… Today’s was made of 1/2 cup raspberries, 1 cutie peeled, 1 cup kale (deveined and destined), 1cup skim milk, 1carrot, and ice. Is this healthy and how can I make it taste better without adding too much sugar?
Hi Devdra7, that sure sounds healthy to me. If you want to make any juice sweeter you can always add an apple. In small amounts they add lots of sweet without much flavor. You are smart in watching the sugar content. Hopefully Ossie will answer as to the sugar amount.
Have a great day,
Doryss
