I just started this plan and it seems that there is so much food to eat. I usually try to eat low carb daily and is like double what i would eat for every meal and snacks. I want to loose about 20lbs, so i will give it a try but it seems like i would gain weight eatting all of this food!
I am finished week one- and was also unable to eat all of the food. Does it matter if you eat less? I also found myself substituting foods I preferred over ones I don’t like. I still saw weight loss however.
Hi, Denise. If you are used to restrictive diets, this may seem like a lot of food – however, the foods are just less energy-dense, and so fill you up more (and provide more nutrition). The patterns are fairly low-carb already, about 40-45% of energy, compared to 50-65% in most diets.
Hi, iainsmom. Whatever makes you comfortable, just go for it. Do make sure to get all your fruits and vegetables (5 total servings per day) and calcium sources (3 per day) if you can.
