MemberWe would RATHER you use homemade soup instead of canned!
We recommend uncured hotdogs because these tend to be lower in carcinogen-producing nitrites.July 2, 2015 at 2:14 am #29954SandyStegenga
MemberShould I leave the egg noodles out of the chicken soup? What about veg beef, pepper soup or pea soup with ham? What would I eat with the soup? How much?

MemberHi, Sandy. It depends how you want to use the soup – if it is a meat course (chicken soup), starch course (noodles), vegetable course (pepper soup), or the whole meal (pea ham soup or chicken soup with noodles).

MemberIs it a problem if I switch a meat or a type of cracker or cheese, can I have a glass of wine occasionally? Like fish for chicken .

MemberHi, Sandy. No, switching is fine, as is wine – for every 5 fl oz (140 ml) of wine, swap out a carb + a fat exchange. In the Menu Planner lists, alcoholic beverages are in the “Fat” category, “Beverages” subcategory.

MemberI don’t see corn or fresh green beans on the vegetable list, are these ok?

MemberHi, Sandy. Corn is in the Starchy Vegetables subcategory of the Carbs category, and Green Beans are listed as French Beans/Haricots.
