new member and a bit confused over the Soy product being highly processed – BUT WHAT FORM?
My Naturade Total Soy sounds fab and a review of the nutrition facts appears good….
How do I determine if it is processed i.e, terms or types of Soy????
I do not enjoy food in my stomach in the morning and this is the best way to consume breakfast
so far – at times adding fresh fruit for addl flavor. Oh Yeah, this product only costs $12.99
at Walmart for 19 oz. Help define please
Hi, Deborah, and welcome! The way to know that soy is overly processed is primarily by looking at the form of the soy. Relatively unprocessed products include tofu, tempeh, fermented (e.g., fuyu), natto, and soymilk. “Isolate” as in powdered meal replacements tend to be highly processed. We don’t usually recommend them for regular use. However, Naturade’s product with fruit is not the worst, and is definitely better than not having breakfast.
