Why do a lot of the recipes have Stevia powder or syrup in them? Isnt it produced in part of GMO foods? isn’t it bad for you?
Hi, Kirstbboots. Luckily, it is fairly easy to avoid the GMO element in Stevia production by buying organic (the universal word for NOT GMO), and using the unprocessed type (i.e. not Truvia, Stevia in the Raw). A reliable type is “sweet leaf”.
Stevia itself is used a lot in these recipes because it is considered a classic among natural no-carbohydrate sweeteners in that it is believed to also have some beneficial health properties.
