hello,
I started the diet 6 days ago and lost 1 Kg, happy with that and totally unexpected considering the amount of food I am now eating! However, two days after I started dieting I develop a stomachache which I have had every day since. My diet has changed a lot since I started your plan, I eat more and I eat more varied food and wholegrain and organic as suggested. Is my stomach over-working because of this or what could it be?
Thank you.
Monica
It sounds like your system might not be used to some of the foods. The substance that comes to mind is fiber – this may be more than you are used to.
If this is the issue, the following are some tips:
1. Thoroughly cook any beans/legumes, etc.
2. Mix refined and whole grain products half-and-half, and gradually work your way to 100% whole grain within a few weeks. Same with cooked and raw vegetables.
3. Drink a full 8-oz (250 ml) glass of water with every high-fiber meal or snack.
4. Be aware of foods associated with discomfort, such as the cabbage family, and work it into your diet gradually.
