I can’t tell you how thrilled I am. Through a series of health issues and steroid injections, I gained 40 lbs in 5 years and just kept gaining. I began by checking my thyroid and found it was barely working. Getting on thyroid meds and hormone cream I hoped would help. Nope. I tried the dr’s suggested diet. Nothing. I tried a diet of a friend. 10 lbs in one year! sigh. Then, I began the trim down club 5 weeks ago and am now the happy loser of 11 lbs! Woo hoo!! I’m hooked! Don’t mind if it comes off little by little. In fact, I think it’s better that way! It is a challenge to find the products and do all the chopping and preparation, but I have found it easy to follow just by using the suggested menus and preparing some new dishes. It has really helped us.

I just happened to see this on the internet last night. Like many of you, I have struggled with my weight all of my life. Up 20, down 10, up 10 more. Such a vicious cycle. My husband is a junk food junkie. I hope I can get him onboard, as well. He is on meds for Cholesterol, Blood Pressure and GERD. I haven’t read all of the material yet, but I’m looking forward to reading it and getting started. I read how well everyone else is doing. I’m encouraged.

For this past week and have kept to a 1200 calorie healthy diet and used My Fitness Pal smartphone app to keep track of what I ate and the exercise I have done. I ran across this through our work fitness person. I joined hoping for a little help in addition to the My Fitness Pal app.. So tomorrow is check for week one of the 1200 calorie healthy diet or shall I say way of eating. I can honestly say, I am not as bloated as I normally am. In fact.. It has been noticed by others. Which makes me happy. I had my female organs removed 3 years ago and have put on 60lbs since.. I have made a vow to myself this year that I would figure out which foods will work best for my body now that my hormones are out of wack… Hopefully this year will bring good change.

11 lb down and 9 more to go, I am a happy camper! I have so much more energy, my mood is lifted, and my arthritis is not bothering me nearly so much. My hip still hurts if I rotate too quickly, but the no flare-ups for nearly a month. This may be just a temporary remission, but I don’t believe in coincidences like that! Anyone else noticing that their pain from arthritis is not so bad?

Kate12 – Did you know that muscle weighs more than fat. Why not take some measurements around your bust, waist, hips and thighs and see how you are going. You said your clothes are not as tight – that says it all. Lots of newbies have said that it takes a couple of weeks before their metabolism kicks in. Stand tall, hold your tummy in and feel great.

Hello all you cruisers! I love getting on here and reading through all of the comments. I especially love letting my imagination run wild as I envision the different areas of the world everyone is from.
I don’t always get the chance to put in a response and join the conversation, although I would love to. I did get the idea of starting a new thread for Tips, Tricks, Recipes & Encouraging Thoughts. My thought was…when in need if we have one thread to click on we might be able to more quickly find that need 🙂
I hope this works and happy healthy eating to all,
    Doryss
P.S. Please wish me self-disipline today as I am heading to my neice’s birhtday party which happens to be held at my favorite pizza shoppe!

Good luck try your best, but if not you can always start a fresh tomorrow. It is hard at the beginning as I am only just beginning to understand it after the first week

Hello again. I am from the Sunshine Coast Queensland (which is experiencing a mini-Tornado at the moment … the wind and rain is very scary!!) However, I have lost 1.2kg in two weeks (2.7lb) which is great for me as I want to lose 5kg (11lb) in total. I do not exercise and my full time work is very stressful with lots of desk work. My main issue is my tummy which does not seem as ‘bloated’ as before. I am very happy to continue!

Yvonnebaker,Hi the app is on the app site .It is Diabeties App. It has been a good app for me to keep track of the diabetes stuff. It was free for a few days then if you like you pay about 7.00. For it. I am tracking my calories. And food breakdown as well as sugar stuff. It has all charts a diabetic needs to help themselves. I am down 2 pounds and my sugar is down29 points. We ‘ll just keep on and make ourselves feel and look better.Happy Day

Have been on it just a week, and lost 2kgs (4lbs)- and feel fantastic. I am delighted I started it, was so tired of diets where I had to count everything as if I was justifying myself, or starve myself – meaning punishing & depriving myself. On this diet, I have so much to eat and I eat healthily, & have discovered foods I never knew existed. This is a way of a new life for me, not some fad. I exercise a bit too, so that as the flab comes off, I shall be trim, taught and terrific! I have 10+ kgs to loose, I am so happy and grateful. I too live on the Sunshine Coast in Aust. and so happy the ‘mini-tornado’ has finally gone. Peace is restored.

Hello All! Today is my first day and I am looking forward to trying new things on the menu although I was wondering should I stay away from the Lean Cuisines?
