Congratulations to all of you. You should be proud. I didn’t do well this week but I feel healthier and started exercising again. I have energy to spare and don’t need to nap as much as I used to. That’s more then enough to keep me happy. Keep up the good work and good health to you all.

Yes, marlincone, it will stay in your mind, I did that and it has helped, good for you!

My biggest problem is exercising enough, as I am starting almost from scratch, and it is tempting to do too much. But I know what I should be doing, spent a lot of time in physio and then let it lapse. So have got the walking habit, now on to the weights and therabands as well.

    13 lb down today!

I love reading everyone’s stories on here and i have to remind myself everyone is different and your body is very different. its awesome that ppl can lose so much weight in such a small period of time but I have been working for this for many years and this really is like a last hope for me. I’m in my 6th week I excercise at least an hour a day most days 2 hours. I eat what the menu says making changes since I pack a lunch for college. and have only lost 6 pounds. I understand its good for it to come off slow and I’m trying to go biking and read my school stuff. yet somehow I just get these yucky days where I just wish it was as easy as it is for some people to lose this stubborn weight….but I’m very happy for everyone else experiencing such great results 🙂 …I’m still gonne keep trucking and hope eventually it gets easier.

Hi! If you look Under newbies I posted an article about weight and muscle mass. If you have been exercising every day it may explain why your are not losing the weight. You should not be exercising the same group of muscles every day. Change your routine, do cardio exercises every other day, and workout your muscles mass in between.

You need both types of exercise to tone your muscle mass. Sometimes however you see nothing on the scale. However, you probably went down a size or you feel better in your clothing and that’s an accomplishment. Also look at my kettlebells exercise articles Under fitness. Some of these exercises are both cardio and toning at the same time. Weight exercises alone will make you feel and look bulky. You need to balance both to have the athletic look (like olympic runners).

Please note that whatever you chose, you also need to have a balanced nutritional program like TDC to get you to your objectives.

I am very happy with this way of eating, I eat most of what is here anyway. My issue was carbs, and portions. Due to medical reasons my doctor has set me at 135grams of carbs a day. This has really helped me, didn’t realize I ate so many carbs. It is a good thing I like raw vegetables. I have been with trimdown since Jan 26, 3 weeks, and lost 10lbs. Feeling great.

Hello everyone! I’ve just begun. Looking through the menus and shopping list had me worried. We live out in the desert in AZ and a long way from any store. Not only that, but being on a very tight budget means that a lot of the stuff we couldn’t have. We eat very healthy food, veggies and fruits and cheese eggs etc. No red meat and chicken or fish occasionally. So why can’t I lose the 10lbs I need to?! As others have said,”This will certainly be a challenge!”
Challenges I’m used to, sorting all this out? H’mm hope I’m on the right track. Is there not a mentor or someone who is “In charge” of answering the queries of dingbats like me?

    Hello,
This is the first time on this program. I have just joined and will need all the support possible as I am a senior citizen and have lost and gained 20 – 30 pounds most of my adult life. I want to loose thw weight for good and gain the self confidence I had when I was leaner.
So, I appreciate in advance your help community.
    Thank you and good luck.

hi, I had similar thoughts but I need to try for health’s sake. I’m 69 years old, look pretty good, but have about 15 pounds on me that I don’t need and can’t get rid of. All of this makes sense, hormones, insulin, etc. I wouldn’t mind being in touch with people just starting…we can offer support to one another.

It is nice to know that there are others in their 60s who are on this journey. I am having a hard time getting started on this journey. When I look at the cookbooks I am totally unfamiliar with the ingredients. Raw milk? Raw sugar? I have lost 12 lbs since January but have not committed to this food plan. I am going to try.

Yahoo!!!! It’s been 4 LONG weeks since the scale moved, and then I had a rough week and did some emotional eating (binge time) and thought about not even weighing in this a.m…………boy am I glad I did, I LOST 1/2 a lb. Now I know that doesn’t sound like much, however, after staying the same for 4 weeks…….it’s wonderful for me:) I won’t give up now and I’ll get back on the ‘wagon’, so yay me.
