Cooking ahead to start my diet next week but can’t find stevia syrup either at the stevia websire or at the stores. Anyone know the ratio of water to stevia granules so I can make the syrup myself?

76 yrs old & 100 lbs overweight! Began Feb.8 changing the way I eat and had lost 17 lbs just by eating as I know I should be. Then saw ad for the Trim Down Club; joined about a week ago, lost another 3 lbs,& still trying to work out food favorites while eating sensibly. The hardest part is trying to find most of the ingredients listed for use in the menus but have ordered grains to help make meat substitutes. Am actually becoming adverse to meats as I age, eating mainly turkey, chicken & fish.I’m hoping the TDC helps me attain my goal by my birthday on Nov. 6. An, & all advise, will be greatly appreciated.

For powder-liquid Stevia substitutions, here is a basic conversion chart:
Sugar ———— Powdered Stevia————- Liquid Stevia
    1 cup————–1 teaspoon——————-1 teaspoon
    1 tablespoon——-1/4 teaspoon—————–6 – 9 drops
    1 teaspoon———1/16 teaspoon—————-2- 4 drops

I am just a newbie, 5’2″ 262 lb 40 year old female. I have a goal of losing about 135 lbs. I recently came to the decision the the time is now. I refuse to put it off and eat my emotions away. My back story is a long one and I wont bored you with it. After breaking my leg while jumping into a mud pit with my daughter this last July, I had a lot of time to think. And gain. Even more. My health is on a down hill cycle with illness because I believe my body is telling me “Time to put up or shut up”. As I was reading through the comments I felt compelled to reply. If I can do this, anyone can. I am a lazy and put off stuff as long as possible: yet I know in my heart I am a strong woman and I CAN DO THIS. Stay positive my friends….. I will be posting my results as I have them.

I am on week 6 of menu planners so….have gone down 6 pounds from my own high. But that may have been before I started TDC. It is slow but sure and no big bounces. The 6 meal/snacks really works. I am looking forward to the Passover suggestions. Thank you. I go in for my hip surgery March 19. I may be out of touch because altho I have an IPad, not sure about wifi connections at rehab facility. My very best kudos to all and our successes and shared thoughts and encouragement.

Started on 1st January and have lost 31 lbs. I’ve stuck to the menu planner and tried to keep up a reasonable amount of exercise. Need to buy some new clothes now! 🙂

Hi, I’m glad to know I’m not the only 60 something year old trying to lose weight! I’ve tried so many diets that are not working….I hope this one will. I need to lose 20 lbs, and I know I would feel so much better once I do.

I haven’t lost much but I am thrilled with what little I have lost. I,also, am in my 60s. I will not accept that my weight gain is okay at my age. I don’t want to be skinny but I sure need to loose 5 stone. Yup, 5 stone!! I am cutting down on sugar, it is surprising where it is hidden in foods and what foods turn to sugar.
Also I have started eating gluten free and wheat free bread and lactose free milk and am feeling lighter and better.

Hi, I also started this at the beginning of Jan, I’ve only lost 13lbs but at least I’m never hungry, I don’t follow the meal planner as I wouldn’t be able to cope with that, I also have some cheats usually a couple of times a week, Friday nights being one of them.
I do use some of the suggested recipes and an now eating a balanced low fat diet, with high fibre content and have kept away from meals with white bread and high sugar content. I take my hat off to thoose who have stuck to the meal planner and have lost lots of weight but that isn’t for me.
I also exercise regularly, usually every day and follow an exercise plan which has helped me to be much fitter and flexible, my stamina has vastly improved over the last couple of months. My goal is to loose another 10lbs to get to 11st by end of the summer.
I think I can achieve it by keep on doing what I’ve been doing, slow progress but sustainable.

    Regards to all.

    Phil.

I started on this diet on Jan 1st also so far I’ve lost 29 pounds and have been sticking to the menus provided by the planner app. I’m 67 and probably don’t get as much exercise as I should. By selecting stuff I like to eat, I’ve gotten the planner to give me decent meals. I also found SWG bread in the freezer section of my local Dillon’s store. I also found raw cheese and hard goat’s milk cheese at a local organic store. I’m starting to travel for work and vacation soon so we’ll see how I do when not in my normal routine.
Good luck everyone I think really works.

This is my FIRST DAY and I’m really excited! I’m(approximately) 104 lbs. I don’t eat ANY beef or pork to begin with (I’m trying to eat only lean meats and seafood), so I think I’m going to go quite a way with this! Since I’ve stopped eating beef and pork, I’ve lost 3 lbs. I’m super happy to start!

well my scale finally moved. I started thhis in January and i lost and gained and i followed the plan and still nothing. but the last two weeks i lowered the amount i was eating and am doing mor cardio based excercises at the moment and have finally lost 6 pounds. i now see that this is a long process i mean some ppl are able to lose it so easily….not me but thats ok long as it slowly disappears and my health keeps improving. im happy 🙂
