MemberIs anybody else having trouble with the progress metre tonight?

ParticipantI just noticed the progress meter is in metric. Has it always been metric – I could have sworn it was in lbs – or then again, maybe I was converting in my head. Please tell me I’m not seeing things.
I have actually met my second goal, it’s not a lot of weight but I can handle nibbling away at the weight loss – if my aims are goo great I get discouraged when it doesn’t happen fast but I’m getting there one lb at a time. Thank you for all your great stories and tips.January 9, 2014 at 11:24 pm #17220blessingcatcher
MemberJust got back from town. Had to go get some jeans. Have been putting it off … with 20+ lbs lost, my jeans are all pretty baggy. (But, I confess, I enjoyed the bagginess! They used to be so tight!!) Anyway, the salesgirl asked me what size. I told her I wasn’t sure but we could start with these two. So, I took them in and put on the larger one (one size down from the ones I had worn in). I put them on and didn’t like the way they looked. I asked her what she thought. She kind of frowned and said, ”Ma’am, they’re too big! See that bunching up on your thighs? Try the next size down!” I said, ”But I don’t want them to be too tight!” ”I understand,” she said. ”trust me. Try them on.” I did … and they fit!!! Woo hoo!!! down TWO sizes since I started TDC a year ago!!! Follow the plan! It WILL work for you!! And, you won’t be hungry!! 😛

MemberHi, Alariuslaru. If you have been on restrictive diets in the past, it may take some time for your body to get used to eating normal amounts of food. The fact that you are still stable is actually a good sign.
If you want to give your metabolism a boost rather than just wait it out, try changing your physical activity a little – change your exercises to work some new muscles, add 5-10 minutes here and there, or insert 30-60-second bursts of intense exercise (for example, spouts of jogging here and there during a regular walk).March 6, 2014 at 5:26 pm #18452Alariuslaru
MemberHello Ossis Sharon I am a fibromyalgia patien which makes it very difficult for me to loose weight as it is. I am also autistic with other physical problems and sensory problems a complying that. Vigorous exercise is unfortunately out of the question including jogging running and resistance training as I have cfs also. I can however do swimming and low impact exercises. I am going through diagnosis of asthma and if I need an inhaler or not. Hoping if I end up needing one I’ll be able to do better at swimming. I am starting up a couple of exercise classes that my doc has approved of for me so hopefully I’ll start to see something from that soon. I just hope I don’t end up breaking down. Never bothered with any fad diets as I didn’t see how they could work and I am very sceptical of a lot of things. I found this site though and a lot of the information I’ve found fits exactly what I found with my own body so I figured I’d get some ideas from here. One thing I have noticed since limiting certain foods is that I don’t feel as bloated as often after eating now so I’m guessing that’s a good start?

MemberHi, Sara. Sure, but be sure to put the fruit or vegetable somewhere else, and if there is a source of calcium, try to make up for it somewhere else as well.
