End of first week and I have lost a kilo (about 2lb). That’s one bag of sugar- I like to think visually.
I was so sceptical of a programme that used grain based carbs…and also the quantity suggested. But I’ve had great encouragement and advice from Ossie-Sharon (thanks again).
I found the trick is to swap the stodgy/heavy produce for something less filling – swap bread for a wrap or Ryvita. If you can’t face 4 dry revert try 2 oatcakes.
I do not print off the menus because I like to save paper but also having my menu “live” means I can swap as the day goes on…if I do not feel like the suggested items on the menu by lunchtime I can swap so it is just like going to the fridge and choosing what takes your fancy.
mmmm …. still looking for the bottle of champagne I know is hidden behind the cauliflower and
    broccoli ??

I lost 7 pounds my first week, I was not expecting that. My real focus is on eating healthy, making sure I’m getting a good mix of nutrients and vitamins and all the things my body needs to function properly and hopefully let this program take my weight back to where it should be. I’ve spent years doing so much to destroy myself through poor food choices, I just hope it’s not too late. I feel like I’ve really abused and filled my system with so much crap to the point to where I’m scared for my life now.

    Success ?
I made my target weight in 4 weeks ? I only aimed to lose 2kg as a starting point – not a lot maybe but I have never been able to shift it!
I have lost a small amount from my waist 9.5 mm. It is the belly fat that has been my main concern and so I shall continue now until I this melts away.
After a 2 week plateau I halved the carbs and hey presto!

Hi i have not lost any weight, is it because of no exercise, as at the moment i cant do any do to my health… i am eating very healthy.

    Hi Loosr4 ?

I lost weight without doing the suggested exercise.
I take between 8000 and 10000 steps a day routinely looking after my horses- just doing my chores. That’s up to approx 8km. Some days can be 12,000 plus.
You might be surprised just how much exercise you get on a daily routine.

This is the start of my 4th week and I’m down 11 lbs. The problem is that my wife is not. Is there away for both of us to use this program so we can have the same menus but very the serving amounts. She weighs about 90 lbs less than me and has been trying to eat 2/3 to 1/2 of my suggested servings.

I just began using this site, and I’m a little confused. My menu planner tells me what meats etc to eat throughout the day, but pork loin by itself? do you just look up a recipe and go with that or what?

I think the menu the website created for me has too much fat.

Hi, Katie – yes, that’s exactly right 🙂

Hi, Raeka8. I responded to your question about this in another post 🙂

Our bodies are wonderful, unique, ‘miracle’ systems. They only KNOW what we put into them on a regular basis. You’ve seen those commercials with the huge doughnut wrapped around someone’s middle or hip area – WE ARE WHAT WE EAT! If our system has been on this, that and another food plan, it is confused! It is saying ‘what is happening here?’ Thus, when we start our meal plans here, and we are putting healthy foods into our system, within a regular time frame, it takes our system awhile to level off, to get back into balance after we so rudely messed it up! I’m on the diabetic food plan. I eat 3 small meals and 3 healthy snacks each day. Sometime I don’t get to the snacks because the quantity of food overwhelms my system. My system has leveled off and is accepting all the good nourishing foods now. I’m almost through my 3rd. week. I’ve lost 7 pounds according to my last weigh in, which was two days ago.
It is my belief that QUANTITY, as well as quality is of major importance. When our meal plan says 1 cup or 1 oz or 6 oz., we should adhere to that direction and not say to ourselves: aah another 1/2 cup won’t matter! Yes it does matter! It allows us to get lazy and into the habit of ‘a little more won’t hurt’. Before we know it we are totally off the suggested measurements. We might as well throw the menu plan out the window, if we have no intention of following it.
I follow each day’s menu religiously. I may make changes in the listed foods (e.g. I’ll switch buttermilk for yogurt), but I stick closely to the amounts noted.

What I discovered about this new eating plan was not exactly what I was hoping for. One thing right off the bat, this is too expensive for a retired person who lives in a remote rural area. Second event though I ordered many of the recommended things online from various sources (non-perishables), I also spent a lot of money buying things that cost double the price because of the area. We have 2 grocery stores withing a 30 mile radius and they do not carry many items recommended with many of the recipes. Plus after a month I had gained 4 pounds even though I was very careful to stick to the plan. I didn’t even eat out away from home. I am very sorry that I even tried this now. So Good luck to all who are having good results.

This has been the simplest and most rewarding journey I have been on! I have lost a total of 17 pounds and can tell around my mid section that a few inches are gone also! I found that grocery shopping has actually become more enjoyable because now I really concentrate on reading the labels and also look for substitutes of what I used to eat. I am eating healthier than ever before and it has completely changed my eating habits for the better. I am 57 years old and always considered myself overweight with little chance of changing…then this program came along! I know I can give myself a lot of credit too because I have been determined to stick to it this time and I am so happy I did. It really is simple to follow and I didn’t break the bank. Just watching my portions alone has made a huge difference. I have so much more energy and look forward to seeing where this will take me. Thank You!

I have been on the plan for a week now and my husband was convinced that I must have put on half a stone given the amount I have been eating. He has been giving me a few old fashioned looks when I bring in yet another snack but hey presto I have lost 2 pounds. I am eating loads more than I used to and enjoying it too. I must admit that it has taken a bit of an effort to get myself organised into a routine but it has been worth it. I just hope that the weight loss continues and not just an initial blip. I am still finding my way around the site and discovering new things each day. Time will tell but so far I am impressed with the plan, I would never have believed that I could eat as much and still lose weight and what is more I am feeling great with more energy. Thanks for all the help. I have been struggling to lose weight for months- at last I feel optimistic this is something I can stick to and shift those pounds.
