MemberTruth time. I stayed on the Trim Down Club food plan faithfully, but for a week or so (13) days I ate a box of chocolates in 3 days and a little bit of that extra and a bit of this extra and gained back the 7 pounds I lost in the first two weeks. Today I begin my 5th week. I just weighed myself and hurrah! I lost the 7 pounds I had gained, thus I’m back to square one, BUT – apparently I’m losing mega inches because the outfit you see on my profile picture was taken years ago. I haven’t been able to fit into those pants for literally years and yesterday I wore them to church and a meeting! I’m psyched!

MemberI have never made any of the recipes from the site. I only used the instant menu. The food is rather simple and the combinations can be a little strange sometimes but I’ve lost 40lbs. I’ll take it!

MemberWent to heart doctor today and weighed in at 222. I’m psyched, but wish I were losing more pounds.I realize it is a slow process, and I won’t gain my goal weight for about a year, but, being human and imperfect, I WANT IT NOW! π Such is life.

MemberThis is my first week day 3 and this morning when I stood on the scale I was a pound less. I planned the menu, bought exactly what I needed to prepare everything. I am really hoping this gets me past a plateau. Six months ago I needed to lose 50 lbs. I lost 23 lbs on the metabolic diet, but have plateaued out. I really think 6 meals a day is the way to go to break the barrier. I’m also doing more exercise. I go to Jazzercise, rowing club, walking. I’ll check back in after end of week 1. Good luck everyone.

MemberI have found following the 8week meal plan instead of the one made with the foods I like much better. It still has 3 meals and 3 snacks but it does not have a full meal at lunch including a meat or fish component. I also thought it it too much food not to say more work ,time and money. I believe in the 3 meals and 3 snacks ,it keeps our metabolism engine working. Take a look at the lunch examples on the 8 week plan it is a good menus plan.I tweet a couple of things but have lost 10.1 lbs. I make up the dinner meals ahead, freeze half the week, put the other half in the fridge. I would rather just reach in the fridge and grab my meal. Yes I spend a couple of hours cook up the weeks meals, putting them in containers. This works for me.

MemberI started this plan Nov. 30 2015, so 5 weeks ago. Hubby thought I was setting up myself for disappointment. Managed to get through the holidays and still lose 15lbs. I love the plan, I see it as a new way of approaching food and not a diet. I learn every day more ways to play with the menu etc.

MemberJust joined today. Is it okay to cut bread portions in half or even skip carb choices?

MemberStarted my new way of eating one week ago. Never feel hungry. Helps keeping a note of everything I eat. Lost some weight so really pleased. When I checked in my progress chart it seems that I have the wrong starting weight logged. Anyone know how to change this.

MemberHi, I am new as well. My children are worried about me and I am going to need a lot of inspiration and motivation. I have wanted to lose weight for a long time and have hit a low. I need this not only for my kids but for myself as well.

MemberHave just started Week 3 on the 8 week plan using my food choices. Also walking 6 miles every other day. Lost around 2 kgs but thought I should have lost more? Am I expecting too much??

MemberHi, Stuart. You’re doing great! Note that because you’re exercising, you’re swapping fat for muscle, which is heavier. At this stage, you will be looking disproportionately better than the number on the scale.
