MemberI joined the Trim Down Club yesterday. A bit of history… Back in 2015, mid-June, I weighed 195 pounds. I cut out sugar, was very conscious of my portion sizes; ate mostly protein in various forms, vegetables, fruits, and drank lots of water. If fact I’ve found that if I drink a big glass of water first thing in the morning it triggers my thirst. Anyway by the end of December my weight was down to 148. I no longer have issues with my knees–was headed for knee replacement–my A1C number has dropped from 5.9 to 5.6, and my energy level has more than doubled. The downside is that I’ve crept back up to 155. I an NOT going back there! I’d like to lose another 10-15 pounds. (When this site crunched my numbers is said my optimum weight would be around 125 but that hardly seems possible but we’ll see how it goes.) I’d like to reach my optimum weight and maintain without the weight inching back up. Anyway, that’s my story. I’m dedicated to making this happen and living a healthy life!

MemberHi I am Peggy, joined this past Sunday. Want to eat healthy, I too have pain in body carrying around so much extra weight. I was interested in this eating plan because it sounded easy. Eat real food. That is what I want to do, just give up the processed stuff. But I would love some tips for when I want that sweet cookie. Good luck to all of us.

MemberHello all I have just started my healthy eating on Monday so I am on day 3 – I am not too good with technology and seem to get all upset and frustrated when I can’t find an answer to something. So today I missed half of my breakfast because I cannot find wether you cook porridge oats with water or milk . Help anyone … Also are you able to change the snacks around rather than having a certain something mid day can I switch it to later in in the evening. I love my cups of tea with milk and I’m truly struggling not being able to put milk in it, any advice please

MemberHi, ellikilner. Yes, you can switch things around – whatever makes it comfortable. You don’t have to be perfect, just try to do a little better each time you eat, and the small change will add up without you suffering.

MemberI am in week 5 and have lost only 6 pounds and plateaued at todays weigh in. I’m going to get discouraged when I was sooo invested and excited for success.

MemberHi, Ellie. A pound a week is not bad at all. If you want to give yourself a boost, exercise is the best way to get past a plateau. If you are already active, consider making some changes to your routine to wake up new muscles.

MemberI found the Trim Down Club while preparing for a Corporate Weigh Loss Challenge. Our contest began on 3/7/16, I have followed your program and my daily menus “to a tee”. My starting weight was 239.8#.
After our 1st official weigh in this morning, I am VERY HAPPY to report that I weighed in at 231.2#, or 8.2 lbs lost in one week!
I am 54 years old, have high cholesterol and am pre-diabetic. I can only think that by following your prescribed plans, I will continue on to my goal weight of 199#. Thanks for making your program available to all of us! I have forwarded the link to your sight to many of my co-workers and customers. To my continued success!March 29, 2016 at 3:24 am #34754blessingcatcher
MemberHello, TDC friends! I joined TDC in Dec 3 years ago. I lost my 30 lbs and have kept it off. So, I thought I should pop back in and let you know that TDC really works! I eat knowing exactly how much my body needs and if I gain a few lbs, I take them off immediately by eating TDC healthy eating way. (Oh, and I always follow the meal plan I learned while on TDC, adapting it as I need to as the need arises. But, I always keep in mind my portion sizes and my snacks that keep me from binging due to hunger.) I found friends on the site who encouraged me and Ossie was always there to help any way she could. Thanks, TDC for a sure-fire plan that really does what it says! Hang in there, folks. You CAN lose that weight! TDC WILL work for you! It worked for me, with the physical difficulties I had, and it will work for you! Don’t give up! Jan

MemberI have just started the program so am excited about it all. After looking through the foods and getting groceries I actually started following it 3 days ago even though I registered a week ago. I’m hopeful even though im finding it very hard to eat all the foods in a timely manner. It must get easier as it becomes routine.

MemberHI, I have just joined and I am trying to understand the diet… On the video before joining it said that we should not eat and drink: Concentrated juices, margarine, wholemeal breads, corn and soya. However on one of your recipes one of the ingredients is soya. Can anyone explain this to me?

MemberI still do not see an answer to the question of martam santos, asking why the diet contains corn, soya, orange juice options?
