MemberJust started the program today but do not feel hungry enough to eat all the snacks. I do not know if it is okay to cut some of the snacks or not. Does anyone out there know?

MemberHello everyone! I live in Victoria, Australia and this is my second real attempt to loose weight after my daughter was born. I just keep putting weight back on because I feel i’m not addressing my nutrition. I am addicted to ‘bad’ food!!! oh well. Now I am learning that eating good foods more frequently and feeling that I am actually doing something about this 20 kg I need to loose… I am more positive.
So here we go. Day 1.January 20, 2013 at 11:39 pm #6876kimwitheti
MemberHello everyone. I have been planning my menu and I do understand where some of these items may not be readily available or possible due to time constraints, but I think the idea behind it is to balance the proper nutrients from dairy, fruit, vegetables, fats/oil, meat/protein and grains. I have been changing the menu by using the allowed substitutes. There have been a couple of things that didn’t have a substitute listed such as the Roast Turkey, but I substituted with grilled chicken breast. I think I see a lot of chicken and veggie stir fry in my future. Good Luck everyone and I hope you reach your goals. I can say for myself I just started this Friday so this is my third day, but I feel completely satisfied and not craving any junk food.

MemberI started the program on Jan. 3, looked at all the menue items that I could , read everything that was on your program and have tried some of the recipes and made up some of my own with the information gathered from your program. over the years i have lost hundreds of pounds only to regain and become heavier than before. I do believe that with this program it will allow me to keep the weight off as I see it to be a positive lifestyle change that I will be able to be comfortable with and stick with. Since Jan.3 until now I have lost 18 pounds.

Memberawayagain4, I saw that you want to make bread, I don’t know if you know this or not, but I don’t think you can substitute for the sugar in bread, the yeast needs the sugar to rise. I saw someone else ask about this in the recipe section and thought I should mention it…..
Way to go every one, I was thrilled to see I have kept my 10 lb loss, now have to keep going for another 10! Great to hear what everyone is doing 🙂

MemberI just started this program yesterday (1/20/13). I’ve never had the struggles that I’m facing now with my weight. Menopause, I’m 52yrs old, is making it very difficult to lose weight. I find myself craving sweets (something I’ve never craved before) and lots of fatty foods. Belly fat is my biggest challenge. Wish me luck!

MemberI have spent most of the day cooking and have a supply of food ready to be frozen. I made the Coco Banana Pancakes and they are delicious! I couldn’t get oat flour so I did as someone on here suggested. I used oats and ground them down in the food processor. Worked a treat.

MemberI’m three weeks into this diet and am convinced this is the way to go..yes there are challenges but the whole grain approach is the answer to weight loss in my opinion. I love reading the comments, positive and negative, it is encouraging and makes this online forum more personal. Good luck to all..I’m down a full size by the way and have more energy!
