MemberI’m having a difficult time finding SWG products; is there something on the ingredients list that I should be looking for? I went to my local New Foods and could only find one loaf of bread that was Sprouted Whole Grains.

MemberIf you can’t find SWG, then look for 100% whole grain products – the “100%” is a very important indicator.

If that doesn’t work for you, then just use 100% whole grain bread.March 6, 2013 at 11:41 am #9723WestBromwichAlbion
MemberI am a very new member. I live in England in the West Midlands
Have had no success at all finding SWG anything!!! The best I could find is wholemeal 100% bread.

MemberI feel for some of the people who live over seas and don’t have health food stores. When it comes to bread. Alot of your breads don’t have the junk that our breads in the states have. plus you could make a lot of it yourself. Just use better flours and such. America is the land of cutting corners. Which is why americans like myself are over weight.

MemberI am a new member and I am very excited to get started. I am wondering if Killer Dave breads qualify as a SWG bread? I live in Anchorage Alaska and have enjoyed the above noted bread here and in Oregon. I am wondering if this bread will be something I can bring into my new way of eating?

MemberHi, Lori19. Dave’s Killer Bread has a sprouted wheat. Other than that, their breads are generally very high-quality.

MemberI was talking to someone today who noted that wheats have fungus in them….what are your thoughts about fungus and whole grains? This was new news to me about the fungus…
March 10, 2013 at 3:07 am #9881Ossie-Sharon
MemberHi, Shelly. Fungus in whole grain crops is a global problem that farmers and agricultural experts are dealing with. There are major efforts not only to keep fungus from killing the crops, but also to keep it out of what ends up being for human consumption.
