Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Sandy. We don’t favor Laughing Cow because it is a rather processed product that contains unnecessary ingredients that could work against your efforts here. Regular Monterey Jack, mozzarella, or provolone cheeses are just fine.

mmdbdMemberWhat about plain old water (well, bottled)?

Imsue408MemberMMDBD. Look at the list of free drinks on the site. Water, seltzer, put flavor in the water such as fresh squeezed orange juice or lemon, no sugar and watch sugar free items. There are lots of info about this. Hope that helps.

rachel0207MemberI am in week #3. Still learning the way around this program. Since I did have a couple of tries of different programs in the past, my biggest concern is variety. I have learned if I get bored with foods I eat, I lose interest.
Here is what I have a problem with, I am the only one in my family on this program now. I made Sweet Potato soup. I like it a lot. However I can only have 1 cup at a time and the recipe is for 16 servings. I do not think it will freeze well.
Same problem with many recipes. I read many entries in different discussions. Most of the time it is one or two persons on the program. Unfortunately in many cases it is not easy to adjust a recipe to a lesser number of servings. Any suggestions?August 5, 2015 at 3:19 pm #30616
Ossie-SharonMemberHi, woosh52. You can select a similar food and then make the swap when it comes time to prepare the meal. If you would like some help with that, you are welcome to post the recipes of interest here, and I would be happy to help.

cjdunhamBlockedI signed up for the Club on Friday and I’m experiencing a problem that feeds into a cancer drug issue – of all things ! I enjoy balsamic vinegar as I think it gives a good dose of healthy flavor to foods; but it is so acidic for my mouth I’ve never been able to use it as a successful replacement for commercial salad dressings; even when I get the ratio right. Additionally the drug I’m on causes a de-sensitivity in the mouth that causes me to lose enough feeling so that I can’t “feel” the difference between hot & cold and this leads to oral burns. The acidic nature of balsamic vinegar just compounds my issue. So does anyone else have any subs for the balsamic vinaigrette ?

sheila201222MemberCan someone help me with putting together a menu with fish as the main ingredient. I do not eat meat + have to keep my diary intake to a minimum. I cannot find fish on the protein section anywhere. Any advice will be very much appreciated

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, cjdunham, and welcome. Unsweetened apple juice may be an alternative.

cardc01MemberHelp with menu,
My sugar is running to high with the meal plan. I am on week two. Is there a way to for less carb in the diet when you are doing the 8 week start up. Also having where I am taking things of menu and replacing with something else and when I print my grocery list it is still on the list.

cjdunhamBlockedBeans in chili sauce, added to corn salsa with additional cherry tomatoes and consumed with a raw green, bell pepper was my snack of choice. It left me feeling unhealthy and I want to know why ??? Was it because beans are a processed food product that had the added sauce ? Were there hidden ingredients missing from the label ? The fat content was zero and it had less then a gram of sugar. I don’t think I even consumed a single proportion. Of the salsa either.

ona-72MemberDear cjdunham, try Apple Cider Vinegar instead of the Balsamic. I take a tablespoon of olive oil, a tablespoon of Cider Vinegar, a dash of Italian seasoning, a teaspoon serving package of Stevia or any authorized by the program and whisk it well until creamy. This makes a good dressing. If the Cider is still too acidic add 1/2 teaspoon water. It will thin the dressing a little but this may help your problem.
