Carina528MemberI just started this program this week, and I’m finding it difficult to eat everything with its provided portion sizes. Can I cut the portions in half in order to eat all the foods each day, or can I cut out some of the foods completely, or one of the snacks? What’s the best way to address this?

elflowersMemberI am having the same problem. I am not used to eating this much food all day long and I end up skipping some of the snacks or cutting portions.

CathymarieBlockedI think the key is balance. I think I was eating too much protein and not enough of fruits and vegetables. The snacks, we’re told, are to balance blood sugar and metabolism throughout the day. I just started this program. For months I haven’t snacked or eaten grains or sugar. I’m hoping this program, including snacks, will give me the proper balance my body evidently needs and help me to trim down!

elflowersMemberi think you are right. I have never eaten breakfast and usually not lunch either which is why I probably can’t lose weight. I have been following this program for a week now and I’m hoping by learning to balance my intake of food I will be able to lose weight. The biggest problem I’m having is to fit all the food in because it’s such a drastic change from the way I eat. I have to force myself to eat breakfast.

MMBCaroMemberI am only on the second day of the 14-day menu plan. The first day was great and I felt great too. Today is a different story. I feel very tired and my stomach hurts. What happened?

Ossie-SharonMemberHi to those of you feeling too full – you can cut back perhaps 1/4, but do be sure to get at least 5 total servings of fruits and vegetables and 3 good servings of calcium-rich foods each day. If you start to feel too hungry toward the end of the day, add some back earlier in the day.

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, MMBCaro. Some members have reported similar sensations, often attributed to a “detox” effect. If you are following the guidelines, your body is getting cleaned out from all sorts of artificial items that are really not so good for you.
Another possibility is that if your previous eating habits tended to be low in fiber, the amount you’re getting now may present to large a leap in such a short time. If you suspect this is the case, try backing off to just a little above what you had before, then gradually increase your fiber intake over the period of a couple of weeks, i.e. by upgrading grain products, going from cooked to fresh produce, etc.
In either scenario, be sure to drink plenty of fluids, more than usual. - AuthorPosts
