Hi,
I’ve just recently join the trimdown club and like Sal I’m from the UK and I also presumed that basic measurments would be easily understood by people living in the UK. I spent over a week trying to refine the Personal menu planner to taylor it down to the food’s I would like to eat. This hasn’t been to much of a problem but I just can’t get my head around some of the crazy measurment discriptions. What exactly is 6oz of fat free yoghurt?? Is this fluid 6ozs? And everything is measured in cups?? again this is something that here in the UK we are not necessarily a custom too. So I need some to please explain in metric. The clock is ticking as I’ve not even began my new eating regime so very fustrated.
Dcharles – hope this helps. In dry weight measurement an ounce is equivalent to 30 grams. What we “Yanks” refer to as a Tablespoon (Tbsp) would be equivalent to 15 mL.
One fluid ounce is equivalent to 30 mL.
