I have fund that in mot restaurants they are moe than willing to accomodate you spcial needs. Just tell them what you wan and 9times out of 10 you’ll get it. You just have to adk!! Also make wise decisions… It is all about how hard you are willing to try and how badly you want to lose!! good luck 😛

anyone have tips on following this plan while on a cruise. I just joined and we leave on our cruise in 11 days. thanks for any advice. I have a huge (really huge) sweet tooth and love breads & pastas!

Hi, nanajx2. You may not be able to follow the diet exactly, but you can certainly benefit from the principles.
The most important thing is to see the cruise as an opportunity to have fun that goes well beyond food. This mindset may keep you from seeking opportunities to eat, and from overindulging.
With regard to mealtimes, I assume the service will be buffet style. Try the following:
    1. Start the meal with a clear soup, if it is available. This may help with willpower.
    2. Whatever portion you would have taken of starchy and heavy items (this includes dressings and gravies), take 1/2 or less, if you can. Make up the rest with lighter items that you like.
    3. Do not pile your plate high, and don’t go back for seconds.
    4. Between meals, look into sipping on light beverages that you like. A popular choice is soda water with fresh lemon or lime juice with sugar substitute.
    5. Carry a good quality sugar substitute with you – Stevia, monk fruit, Just Like Sugar are all good options.
    6. Take advantage of any opportunities for physical activity.
