MemberI just signed up today. I am not a vegetarian (those i am not opposed to it) yet my wife is. Any advice as to how for the two of us to work together on this plan?

MemberHi, Mr. Hopler. Since most of the daily menus are plant-based anyway (side dishes, vegetables, etc.), it’s just a matter of substituting protein foods, and taking into account the extra carbohydrates an fats that may be included. You can generate your menu, and she can slip in the protein foods of her choice, in similar amounts if the foods are comparable (i.e. substituting soy products or seitan for meats), or by exchanges.
Another option is to – just once – build two menus, one through the regular route and another through the vegetarian route to get ideas of where and how to swap in vegetarian items.September 8, 2013 at 3:16 pm #14788Tweety425
Memberhi, I made 2 menu’s, one vegan for myself, and one regular for husband. It’s not that much trouble. We eat the same veggies, but the rest usually varies in small ways.
