    Is anyone using the VitaMix with this program? I was just starting to drink smoothies last week but then I realized there shouldn’t be just fruit in the drink so I have been using coconut milk (1/2 cup)instead of water and have been adding nuts as well. I am not sure how I can incorporate this into my diet or if I am doing this correctly. Any thoughts out there?

    I don’t have a vita-mix but I do have a Jack-La-Lane juicer that is wonderful. I stick to my menu as closely as I can and if there is a vegetable on my meal,say, 1 vegetable serving, then I will use vegetables that are allowed on the vegetable list and make a drink that is equal to 1 cup. It’s not good to make too much because you don’t want to store it as it looses its vitamins. I drink it right away. If there is a vegetable and fruit on the menu I could blend them together. Pretty simple idea and keeps me on the plan. Check out the fruit shake recipes also in the recipes and see what you could alternate such as the coconut milk. I’m not sure myself at this point as I have not actually tried those yet. KD
