I have a lot of business lunches and can not follow some lunch meals and those lunches are much bigger than suggested portions. Should I skip the afternoon snack? Also new at this but I have not seen anything on the amount of water we should be drinking. Thanks for the help
Hi, Linda86. That could indeed be a solution.
With regard to water, about 8 8-oz/240-ml glasses of water per day would suit your needs, going down to 6 as you reach your goal weight. When you work out and/or are in a hot environment or hot weather, another glass for every half hour is recommended.
Hi Linda, somewhere I read or heard that the amount of water we should consume is half your body weight, so I weigh 194 so I should consume around 97ozs a day. Ossie does that seem right?
Hi, pioneerwoman. That equation will work very well when you reach your goal weight, but until then, you can get away with a little less – 75 oz (about 9 glasses).
