Hi
when i am prepairing the menu there is some items i don’t know them like Tempeh , Seitan and Quorn could do you please tell what are they and where can i found them
Hi, lamia57. The items you are asking about are all plant-based meat substitutes.
Tempeh is fermented soybean combined with grains to form a soft doughy block that can be cut and stir-fried like tofu; it is considered healthier than tofu because fermenting the soy makes it more digestible and the nutrients more available.
Seitan is a mass of gluten, the primary protein in wheat; it is generally marinated and cooked like meat.
Quorn is a mass of mushroom-based and gluten protein, prepared similarly to seitan.
