In the presentation it mentioned 100% Whole Wheat bread is bad. Why can we have wheat English muffins and wheat crackers? Confused?
Wonder if it would be better to substitute wheat cracker for multi grain gluten free cracker? Not sure about the English Muffins, I could only find 100% whole wheat, which is not good for us right? Raises sugar levels?
Hi, TroyandKelli. 100% whole wheat is excellent – it is “whole wheat” without a number that can contained refined (undesirable) flours, due to a loophole in labeling laws. If you have doubts about a product, take a look at the ingredients list – if any of the flours are not whole grain, it isn’t as recommended. Yes, one of the reasons is that it raises blood sugar levels faster and higher than 100% whole grain.
I am a little confused here but I think you answered the question. Thanks
