hi- new to the program- though i highlighted hard cheese as part of my menu. it did not appear in the snacks. How much of a portion of hard cheese ( cheddar for an example) would i be allowed as part of my breakfast ( with an egg) or as a snack to complement a protein
Hi, mard940, and welcome! Since cheddar is a very rich cheese, with both protein and fat, each ounce would be equivalent to an egg or cup of milk. If you want to have it with an egg, then you can “borrow” the space from other items. Using your Monday menu as an example, you can have an ounce of cheese at your morning snack instead of the nut butter or cottage cheese at breakfast.
