KeymasterAs for what to drink, your best choice is dry red wine, followed by vodka or gin. Red wine offers antioxidants that your body can utilize. Not only that, but it also happens to be the type
of beverage that you can sip slowly. Vodka of all of the alcohols is the clearest and therefore is missing much of the sugar that its counterparts may possess; gin is also a clear alcohol, flavored
by non-caloric herbs. Mixing vodka or gin with club soda and a twist of lime is an excellent choice if you are going to indulge in a drink. Stay away from any mixed drinks like margaritas or martinis which are high in alcohol and mixers that are loaded with sugars. Keep it simple, keep it light, and enjoy your drinks slowly!
To keep the sugars low, you may find that a spritzer does the trick quite well. Mixing red wine with club soda can cut the problem areas, while still allowing you to feel like you are enjoying a
drink. It’s also wise to drink plenty of water in between your drinks to fill you up and ensure that you don’t become intoxicated.February 19, 2015 at 2:29 am #27208bookwoman100
MemberThanks for asking the alcohol question for me. Gives me several options if we go out and I’d like to order a drink.
