Memberi’m kind of wondering if this planning does really work… and it’s not just another “brain wash” idea!

MemberI haven’t lost any weight, Erica. But I know for certain it is healthy eating at its best. I have a lot of health (and some depression too to be honest) which impact any program I would attempt. For now, I’m sticking with it. When I feel better, I’ll get back to the gym. I’m drinking LOTS OF WATER, and that seems to be helping. I don’t have a better plan in the wings. CK

Memberwith all weight loss I believe that counting calories is the most important part of it. You can eat the best and healthiest food but if you are over in calories you will not lose. I noticed with this program they don’t give you calorie intake on food. I do like the menu makes it easy for me to set up a weekly schedule but I have to figure out my calories. I noticed also they were having me take in over 1500 calories a day and that is to much if you want to lose weight. planning really works but you need to make sure your under in calories to lose weight.

MemberHi, Lucy. I would suggest caution going below 1500 calories, as at this stage of your weight loss journey, it could result in some major rebound weight gain. Slow loss is best.

MemberHi ossie-sharon you are right it is good to lose weight slow but if you take in more then you burn you will never lose weight. going under 1200 cal’s a day is not safe. is there a way to find out how many calories are in a meal that they have us eat. I would like to know?

MemberHi, Lucy. The Trim Down Club doesn’t work with calories, but rather with meeting your nutritional needs, illustrated by using and exchange system much like the American Diabetes Association and the Food Pyramid. If you click on “View Menu Exchanges” to the right of your finished menu, you will see how many of these you need each day. See what make up exchanges here: http://www.trimdownclub.com/exchanges-lists.
You are right – ultimately, you need to burn what you take in, no more, but also no less than you need. If you eat too little, your body will fight back and make you regain any lost weight.
According to your current numbers, you probably need a total of 77-85 grams of protein, 205-225 grams of carbohydrates, and 70-80 grams of fat, depending on the amount of physical activity you get. As you lose weight, you will need progressively less, until you reach a healthy weight, and then the amounts will be approximately 70 grams of protein, 185 grams of carbohydrates, 63 grams of fat. - AuthorPosts
