Ingredients

  1. ½ cup / 120 ml / brewed coffee, preferably organic
  2. ½ cup / 120 ml milk, preferably organic pastured, soy, or almond
  3. 1 banana
  4. 1 tsp. / 2½ g flax or chia seed, freshly ground
  5. 1 tsp. / 2½ g pure cocoa (optional)
  6. Vanilla or almond extract to taste (optional)
  7. Ice to your preference

Directions

  1. Throw everything in the blender and blend to your desired consistency.
Serving Size:1 ½ cups / 360 ml Exchanges per Serving: 1 Carb, ⅔ Protein, 1 Fruit

  1. I love to use plant based Vega protein and greens vanilla flavored for breakfast drink. It has 20 grams of protein, 2 servings of greens, gluten-free, no sugar added and only 110 calories per serving. I like to add a 1 tsp. of organic chia seeds, 1 tsp.of organic milled ground flax seeds, 1 tsp. oat bran with 1/2 cup of 100% pure Aloe Vera juice mixed with one fruit, example an apple, 5-7 ice cubes, and 1 1/12 cups of cold water. It’s easy to drink, refreshing and crumbs up appetite. So I am just getting started with the Trimdownclub and want to make sure I am on the right track with this.

  2. I LOVED this! I love coffee but sometimes coffee doesn’t love me. I had this, put my vanilla protein powder in it w/the flax, eliminated the vanilla extract and it still was great! YUM YUM, definitely a winner for morning pick me ups.
