Ingredients

  • Raw Egg, 6 egg (258 g)
  • Broccoli, 5 cup, chopped or diced (440 g)
  • Cheddar Cheese, 1 cups (112 g)
  • Table salt, 1/3 teaspoon (1 g)
  • Black Pepper, 1/4 tsp (1 g)
  • Nutmeg, 1/2 tsp (2 g)
  • Almond Milk, 3/4 cup (197 g)
  • Heavy Cream, 1 cup (233 g)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a baking tray with oil.
  2. Steam the broccoli (5 minutes) or cook in the microwave (2-3) until just tender.
  3. Spread the broccoli in the baking tray previously sprayed with oil and add the grated cheddar cheese.
  4. Prepare the custard mixture by whisking together milk, cream, eggs, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Pour the custard into the tray and bake for 35 - 40 minutes.

    • Hi, Spl8fl. That cream is heavy liquid unwhipped, unsweetened cream. We will never recommend the stuff from the can, so no worries – too processed. With regard to the type of cheddar, as long as it is full-fat, you choose the specific flavor type.

  1. This is the first recipe I have made from this site since joining yesterday. It was very easy to make. I was not sure of the pan size used to make this so I just used a 9×9 and cut it into 4 servings. The nutmeg was a little bit more than I liked, but it was still good. I will cut back on the amount next time I make, and I will definitely make it again.
