Ingredients

  1. 1 Chicken, cut into pieces, skin removed
  2. 2 Stalks of celery, sliced
  3. 5 Leeks, sliced
  4. 1 Medium carrot, sliced
  5. 5 Bay leaves
  6. 1 Tbsp / ½ g Low-sodium chicken bouillon powder
  7. ½ cup / 90 g Cooked hulled barley
  8. 3 pints / 1½ L Water

Directions

  1. Boil chicken, celery, leeks, carrots, bay leaves, and other herbs together for 1 hr.
  2. Debone the chicken and add bits to the broth.
  3. Add cooked barley.
  4. Add more vegetables as desired.

Serving Size: 1½ cup / 360 ml
