Hi, Fmease. Skim milk is fine, but try to get a type without added milk solids (bluer is actually better) and that is, of course, fortified with vitamins A and D. If you can find organic pastured milk meeting the above criteria, that would be perfect.
I only drink skim milk does it matter
Hi, AngelaKnight. Definitely. Almond is one of the “vegan” milks we suggest in the recipe.
Is almond milk ok ?
Hi, KellyScott. The fat content in this particular recipe isn’t a particular concern if you don’t have pancreatitis. It’s more important that the milk be of high-quality (i.e. organic, pastured).
Should this be full fat milk or semi skimmed?
Hi, LisaLynn. Flax seed is a seed used for oil or as ingredients in cereals, shakes, breads, and crackers most frequently – it is famous for being very high in omega-3 fatty acids. It is available either ground or whole is found at health-oriented stores, preferably in the refrigeration section. It is recommended to get it whole and grind it yourself in a coffee grinder or electric chopper.
Regarding the sweetener, instead of regular brown sugar, which is often refined, we suggest raw or coconut sugar, which have tastes similar to brown. Regarding milk, you can definitely use lactose-free, though we do suggest organic and/or pastured/grass-fed.
Hi, fatpig26. Grass-fed means the cows are given grass, which is more natural to them and it makes the composition of the milk more nutritious.
can you tell me what you mean by grass- fed ? milk.
How do you add recipes to your menu choices?
