Ingredients
- Ground Beef, 2 pounds (908 g)
- 2 eggs (86 g)
- Feta Cheese, 5 oz (142 g)
- Fresh Basil, 2 tablespoons (6 g)
- Garlic, 1 garlic clove (4 g)
- Beef Stock, 2 tablespoons (30 g)
- Heavy whipping cream, 1 cup (233 g)
- Onion, Fresh, 1/4 cup, chopped (40 g)
- Table salt, 1/2 teaspoon (2 g)
- Black Pepper, 1/2 teaspoon, ground (1 g)
- Tomato Puree, 3 Tablespoons (42 g)
Instructions
- Chop basil, garlic, and onion.
- In a bowl, combine the ground beef, eggs, feta cheese, basil, garlic as well as salt and pepper to taste. Mix until well blended.
- With your hands, form equal-sized patties (you should get 14-16 patties).
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, and cook the patties until golden.
- Remove the patties from the skillet and set aside. Remove the extra grease and the bits out of the pan.
- Lower the temperature to medium. Place 2 tablespoons of beef stock into the pan to deglaze it.
- Add to the pan the heavy whipping cream, salt, pepper, garlic, and onion as well as tomato puree. Mix until well combined.
- Cook the sauce until it thickens.
- Place the patties back into the skillet, and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Serve with freshly chopped green onions and basil as garnish if desired.

How many? A lot of this info is very very vague.
Hi, FatMe52. These can make 14-16 patties (or 12-18, to make them easily divisible by 6). A serving is 1/6 of the entire recipe.
I thought it was a casserole and found it to make for supper. Can Zi do as one?
Hi, MrsBee. Sorry – what did you mean by “Zi”?
Picture makes it look like a casserole. It isn’t a casserole. And instructions says to make patties but the picture is clearly meatballs. Inaccurate stuff like this WILL make me cancel my membership. Who ever is the web designer get it together!
Hi, Kemp1980. I have forwarded your comment to the recipe development team. Some of the details of the recipe may have been updated after the photograph was added..
