How much is one serving ? I used a 8×8 glass dish.
Hi, Princessp. One serving is one-fifth of the recipe, so in terms of your pan, that would be a 3.5-inch square, or a rectangle of about 4×2.25 inches.
Is the sausage supposed to be ground? Or chopped??
Hi, Ileny. However you want to do it is fine.
Most of my meals average 600 kcal on here. I’m concerned because that takes me quite high above my daily calorie limit… is there a way to opt out of a meal so I can just do my own or somehow get lower calorie meals? Thanks so much ??
Hi, Heatherwilkinson. I calculated your daily limit, and it comes out to about 1800 per day, unless your mobility is very limited (please let me know if it is). Our program is intended to support slow weight loss than can be permanent, not fast and temporary results.
Can I use cottage cheese in place of the ricotta?
Hi, Kellylorin. Yes, but be sure to use full fat cottage cheese (also known as cottage-style “farmer” cheese).
Hi team I’m so excited! Newbie and this will be dinner tonight I will let you know how it turns outs!!
so in one day my counts are this:
110 440 1650
This is considered good???? Will this put me in ketosis?
Thanks
Hi, HopeKristine. Yes, it will because there are more fat grams than the sum of carbohydrate+protein.
Hi. I’m new started today. Now I didn’t see anything about noodles. So what do I use instead of noodles or is it just cheese, meat and sauce?
Thank you,
Evelyn
Hi, MaEve14. This particular recipe is just meat, cheese, and sauce, but you can add zucchini ribbons (zucchini sliced thinly lengthwise) or konjac “skinny” noodles, also known as “Shirataki.”
I don’t eat pork so can I just use the beef or do I have to substitute the pork with something else?
Hi, QueenWashington. Beef is an excellent choice.
So how much is 1 serving?
Hi, Wrazzle. It depends on the size pan you use. If you use a typical lasagna pan of 13×9 inches (33×23 cm), then one-fifth of the recipe would be a nearly 5-inch (12-cm) square
I hope it turns out well. I’m adding polini with your palm hearts which I’m using for my noodles. I’m hoping with all the good meat and cheese if they taste funny I won’t be able to notice. However if it comes out not so well I will just leave them out next time.
What size pan for this recipe?
Hi, Chrissyb1965. A traditional 2-quart lasagna pan will do, about 13×9 inches or 33×23 cm.
This was an excellent dish. But unfortunately I had to double the cheese ingredients. I used a 9X9 glass dish and only got one layer of cheese using the recipe. Other than that I loved and everyone else did to.
I made this adding 1 medium zucchini shaved to about 16 noodles which I used as the bottom layer, then cheeses, then meat mixture. I did bake it for 30 minutes. My husband enjoyed this lasagne as much as I did.
I make a veggie lasagne with zuchinni for the pasta and add some broccoli in the top layer. Can I add these with this recipe?
Hi, Lucidgls. Yes, you can add those vegetables – just try not to add more than 5 cups for the whole recipe (or more than 1 cup per serving).
is there a way to make a smaller amount
Hi, llf10lynn. Try this reference: http://www.trimdownclub.com/reducing-the-size-of-recipes.
Can you add how much fiber is in each meal. That would be great for us keto lovers. Does the recipe show net or total carbs.
Hi, S2n3n3. That’s a great idea! I will pass that along to the recipe team. Meanwhile, the carbohydrate amount per serving is for total carbohydrates (it appears that the net carbohydrates per serving for this recipe would be about half – 4 grams).
In the layers do you start with cheese first?
Hi, Lnofsinger. That’s what we suggest in the instructions, but you can start with whatever you want.
The ingredients do not specify onion, but step 4 calls to add onion. Please correct ingredient list or change instructions. Thank you.
Hi, smnnkd. The reference to onion has been removed from the instructions. Thanks again for your sharp eye! 🙂
Do the Kcal’s for the meal represent one serving or 5 servings?
Hi, rgarcia. The nutrition information is for one serving.
