Hi I’m also confused where it says serves 4. And then in the list of ingredients the amounts dont seem to some up to serve 4 people. For example..on the cob salad. It says 1 boiled egg. How can 4 people share 1 egg. And it says 4 cherry tomatoes. That would mean 1 extremely tiny baby tomato each? These ammounts dont seem right. That will be a very small salad? Can someone help me understand please lol
Hi, Jodieo. Just above the photograph, all the way to the right, you will see “Serves 4.” The tomatoes and egg are diced, so they can be spread out over four servings. Note that in keto recipes, sources of carbohydrate and protein (like tomatoes and eggs, respectively) are limited relative to sources of fat. Each serving of finished salad is about 1 cup (240 ml) – small, but rich.
Hi there, I’m confused with the number of carbs. On the description is says net carbs per serving. And then a different ammount of carbs on the macros viewing. Which one should I be looking at?
Hi, Jodieo. You would be looking at the macros in the recipes.
Really don’t like Feta Cheese is there something else I could replace it with
Hi, Caligreen. Any fatty cheese will do.
Can i use spinach instead of arugula?
Hi, Doreenh247. Absolutely!
I’m a little confused on the serving size. The recipe says 4 servings and the instructions says 1 serving. Do I have eat 1 serving or 4 servings. This questions is inclusive for all of my meal plans. Thanks
Hi, Virgogirl73. The entire recipe makes four servings, but you just eat one serving at a meal.
Is the whole salad that many macros or is each serving?
Hi, Bondigit. Those macros are for each serving.
Can I substitute tomatoes + onion instead of spinach?
Hi, noahbaby. Tomatoes and onions are significantly higher in carbohydrates than spinach, so it depends on the recipe (i.e., if there is enough fat to cover the extra carbohydrates to keep it keto). To which recipe are you referring – or is it a general question?
Can I leave off the tomatoes and avocado and maybe use cucumber and a nut like cashews or sunflower seeds?
Hi, Shellbell608. Absolutely! You got the idea :).
so if you choose to use cucumbers, will it change the nutritional value that is calculated with this recipe. I don’t understand how the exchange thing works, so I rather that any changes I make is the same nutruitional value as listed.
Hi, Jsauls. Not really – cucumbers are very light, very low-carbohydrate. There are some vegetables that are considered “free” because they meet those criteria, and cucumber is one of them, along with celery and salad greens.
What is Arugula ? Can this be replaced?
Arugula is another term for rocket, which are rocket-shaped green leaves with a radishy taste. You can use any raw leafy green in place of it.
What cheese would I use in place of Feta cheese?
Hi, tazhaught. Any semi-soft or hard full-fat cheese will work here. If you don’t want any cheese, you can add another ounce of chicken.
what can I eat to replace eggs
Hi, clkelly. You can add another ounce of cheese.
can I eat indian cheese called paneer.
Hi, Sudeep. Yes! You can trade any keto cheese for paneer ounce-for-ounce.
What if i dont have red wine vinegar can i just use apple cider vinegar
Hi, Hburnett. Absolutely! In the small amount used here, it truly doesn’t matter.
what are the calorie count
Hi, Paperback. We don’t work with calories here, but rather with meeting nutritional needs. I can tell you that a serving yields about 2 grams of available carbohydrates, 10 grams of protein, and 22 grams of fat.
