I dont care for cream could I substitute the raspberries for blackberries?
Hi, Ladyoflzur. You don’t have to use this recipe – you can swap it out for something else in your menu by using the edit tools to the immediate right. As for the berries, yes you can use blackberries.
Blueberries are very popular and one of my favorites. Could you please post a conversion to blueberries in the simple but yummy treat?
Also, it seems that strawberries are sweeter than blueberries or raspberries and I was wondering why they are lower carb.
Hi, marticia. Sweetness is not always a measure of carbohydrate content – consider that Stevia and monk fruit are many time sweeter than sugar, but don’t have significant carbohydrate contents. The amount of blueberries allowed on a keto plan is about 3/8 of strawberries, raspberries, or blackberries – so here, about 3 tablespoons.
Are blueberries ok?
Hi, Mplsmel. Blueberries are higher in carbohydrates than other berries, so you will need to use less – only a few tablespoons.
I’m confused as to the heaving whipping cream the spray can has sugar doesnt it? I have been getting the carton one, which one is the correct one?
Hi, My2020goals. The unsweetened carton type is the correct one.
Can you substitute strawberries?
Hi, llaws. Sure – strawberries would be great here.
Thank you!
Are blackberrys okay to use?
Hi, Sheshe2. Yes, blackberries are great for this.
Is that heavy whip cream from the spray can that was used on top? Can the heavy whipping cream in the can be used?
Hi, Spl8fl. That is heavy whipping cream.
Can this recipe be frozen and eaten at a later time and can I use blueberries, blackberries or strawberries
Hi, Spl8fl. The cream can, but the berries can be tricky. You can use other berries here, but be careful of the portion, especially for the blueberries (they are higher in carbohydrates than the others).
Can grapes be used instead of raspberries?
Hi, Spl8fl. Grapes are much higher in carbohydrates than raspberries, so they are less keto-supportive. In this particular recipe there is enough fat to cover the extra, but in general, berries are a better keto choice.
Ok.. Thank you
