Millet with Garlic and Onion: Great!

Ingredients

  1. ½ cup / 100 gm millet
  2. ½ tsp. / 2½ gm butter
  3. 1½ cups water
  4. ½ tsp. / 2½ ml olive oil
  5. 1 small onion, diced
  6. 1 clove garlic

Directions

  1. In a pan, heat butter and add in the millet. Over low heat, continuously sauté the millet for 20 minutes until it achieves a golden color.
  2. Add in the water and olive oil and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat, add in the garlic and onion, cover the pot, and cook for another 20 minutes.
  3. When the water has been absorbed and the millet is tender, remove from heat. Best served as a side dish.
