These drinks seem have sugar with all the sweet fruits. I thought keto diet eliminated sugar and carbs. I am diabetic and is good for me with less sugar and carbs. Can you come up with delicious drinks without the sugar and carbs?
Hi, Peachyd. This and any recipe not labeled “keto” is not likely to be keto-supportive. If you want keto, be sure to look for the tag. Meanwhile, you may like this smoothie recipe: https://www.trimdownclub.com/recipe/berries-and-spinach-smoothie/.
Hello Freda Da costa I sometimes drink the oats drink is it ok for me in my diet.
Hi, Fredadacosta. Oatmilk is great – note that each 2/3 cup is a carbohydrate exchange.
can you us frozen fruit when fresh is out of season?
Hi, astardust56. Absolutely! Just make sure sugar wasn’t added to the product.
im new just joined today been on ww for two years lost 35 pounds but cant seem to get pass this point always hungy so going to try this plan i love smooties every morn instead of breakfeast and mid morn snack i use a smootie mix from ww called very berry, mix in 1 scoop powder i get from costco called vega organic protein and greens and 1 scoop of zena all in one vitamin and nutrition and frozen acia juice and mixed frozen fruit such as blueberry ,raspberry, mango, pineapple, strawberry and a liquid of cuttie juice and 1 scoop of ice it keeps me full for about 4 hours and its very good my question is this healthy ? and will it work as a breakfeast and morn snack ?
Hi, SBIC, and welcome. Your recipe looks great, and one serving EACH would be fine for your breakfast and snack.
Hi there. I’ve just joined 🙂 where do I fit a drink into my menu?…..eg does this replace a banana/fruit? Thanks
Hi, Gerardine. This smoothie is a bit richer than the usual combination of produce, so it counts as more than a fruit – see “Exchanges per Serving at the end of the recipe (1 Carb, 1 Protein, 1 Fruit); since a banana is a rich fruit and counts as 1 Carb + 1 Fruit, this recipe would be like 1 banana + 1 protein (e.g. 1 ounce / 28 g of cheese), or 1 cup / 240 ml whole/full-fat milk + a regular fruit. It may help if you take a look at the exchanges you are allotted for each meal – visible by clicking on “Exchange mode” in the toolbar above your menu.
Hi my name is LaQuandra and I’m new to the group but I wanna know is if I don’t eat breakfast nor do I drink milk or a big vegetable eater but loves fruit and meat what will work for me
Hi, LaQuandra, and welcome! Not eating breakfast can be tricky, as it often results in heavier eating later in the day when a person is least active. Do you tend to get very hungry in the evenings or nights? With regard to drinking milk, do you eat other dairy products such as yogurt? Do you take calcium supplements? Fruit can often make up for lack of vegetables, but keep in mind that fruits tend to have more sugar.
can I save recipes I Like into my own page/menu or do I have to keep searching for them as I want them. Would be great to have them in my own page
Hi, hugemomma. We are working on something like this. In the meantime, you can “bookmark” them to favorites in your web browser.
How can I add the recipes to my menu?
Hi, Mary. In the toolbar above your menu, click on “Exchange mode” so that you can see the exchanges of various food groups allotted to you for each meal/snack. Then you can just take exchanges from the recipes to fit them into your day.
