  1. Hi, this stir fry sounds quite nice but the variety of vegetables seems limited – when I make stir fry for 3 adults I use, mushrooms, onions, pepper, spring onions, mange tout, cauliflower, broccoli, baby leeks, carrots – with garlic, grated ginger, Worcestershire sauce, a touch of tabasco but until now have used bought stir fry sauces ie black bean etc are these shop bought sauces OK to use?

  2. Hi, Mary. This recipe was actually contributed by a Clubmember, so is not in the system in the same way. However, you can see the exchanges and roughly estimate how to swap – for example, this dish would cover your lunch or dinner with the addition of 1/3 up of cooked rice

  3. Hi, Jackiehiggs. A vegetable broth can be made a variety of ways, most commonly by simmering fragrant vegetables (such as celery, carrots, and onions) together with herbs (such as parsley, dill, garlic, pepper, thyme, oregano, basil, etc). in water together for at least an hour, then straining.

  4. Hi, Sunbird. Many of the dairy-inclusive recipes have non-dairy options (generally labeled “vegan”). As for the peppers, any other vegetable or seasoning will do – tomatoes and onions are generally the most common.

  5. Hi, SozyGirl. Leftovers of this recipe would be excellent – just pre-portion after cooking, and put the containers in the freezer. This can also save you time during the week.
If you wish, this recipe is quite easy to scale down to 1 or 2 portions.
